Rafia Hussain Productions

RHP is founded and led by experienced independent theatre producer Rafia Hussain. 

Thier mission is to: 

1) Collaborate with Black and Brown British artists to create and tour exceptional theatrical productions at a range of scales. 

2) Develop new artists and producers in Rochdale through workshops, mentoring and paid development opportunities. 

Their values are: 

1) Creativity - we nurture creative potential in professional and pre-professional artists. 

2) Environmental Justice - we are mindful in our approach to and relationship with: pay, resources and travel. 

3) Social justice - we strive for best practice and to push against systems of oppression (e.g. racism, sexism etc). 

4) Education - we believe in knowledge sharing, investment in skills development and telling stories that widen perspectives. 

5) Collaboration - we reject traditional theatrical hierarchies and prioritise mutual respect and respect.
