Out of Kilter Theatre

Whether it’s the subject, the style, or both, we aspire to create theatre and performance that is strange, unusual, out of the ordinary, surreal, evocative, provocative, bold and beautiful. Our emphasis is on making theatre as performance rather than conventional narrative and we love to combine emotive, non-naturalistic, and naturalistic language with a strong emphasis on incorporating physicality/dance. We are always open to opportunities for collaborations with creatives in other media to develop new projects and opportunities. We also believe in the importance of collaboration with performers as part of the development and rehearsal process through actively encouraging them to contribute their ideas in the rehearsal room so that they feel a sense of ownership of the work. As a company, we will be working with talent from the North-West region and will be offering valuable opportunities and experience to people at the start of their careers in theatre and the performing arts.
