Emma Donald lives and works in Rochdale. She is an abstract artist influenced by her surroundings in urban and rural landscapes, in Rochdale, Salford and Manchester. Working in a variety of media, including adhesive vinyl, adhesive tape, acrylic paint, collage and photography.
Emma lives alongside the Rochdale canal and can often be found exploring the towpath photographing nature and wildlife. Emma also enjoys exploring the urban landscapes of the region, inspired and fascinated by the patterns and contrasts in the architectural structures and negative spaces of the built environment. Always experimenting and learning, Emma is driven by her desire to create, following the journey from a spark of interest and seeing where it takes her. That’s where the excitement is, in the discovery of the unknown outcome.
Creu Galleries was selected for the Rochdale Town of Culture Outdoor Gallery.
